There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Triobet Malsta (9-14) lost to twelfth ranked Delikatesas (7-16) in Jonava 66-76 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Delikatesas. Triobet Malsta managed to win third quarter 22-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Delikatesas made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and guard Paulis Klemas (186-91) accounted for 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Vytautas Kruzikas (199-89) came up with 18 points and forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (202-90) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Triobet Malsta in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Triobet Malsta's coach Kestutis Narusevicius rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with ABRO-Univ. Loser Triobet Malsta dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Silute. Delikatesas will meet at home higher ranked Mazeikiai (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Triobet Malsta will play against Nafta Universitetas in Klaipeda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
