Regular Season Round 18: ROW Rybnik - Wisla Can-Pak 59-80

Leader Wisla Can-Pak delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 12th ranked Utex Row (2-13) 80-59 in Rybnik. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Wisla Can-Pak's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-8 extending their advantage to 21 points. It was a good game for the former international center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82, agency: Data Plus Group) who led her team to a victory with 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Nicole Powell (188-82, college: Stanford) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Wisla Can-Pak players scored in double figures. Wisla Can-Pak's coach Jose Ignacio Hernandez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Katarzyna Suknarowska (170-87) replied with 18 points and American guard Laurie Koehn (173-82, college: Kansas St.) added 14 points in the effort for Utex Row. Wisla Can-Pak (15-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Utex Row at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Wisla Can-Pak will play against bottom-ranked LKS Siemens (#13) in Lodz in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Utex Row will play on the road against Lider Pruszkow and hopes to get back on the winning track.
