We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked IR (4-9) won against on the road 10th ranked Njardvik (4-9) 97-89. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-25 Njardvik's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 97-89 at the end of the game. IR made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. American guard James Bartolotta (193-86, college: MIT) stepped up and scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners and Serbian-Canadian forward Nemanja Sovic (198-77, college: Pfeiffer) chipped in 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Njardvik's coach Sigurour Ingimundarson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. IR moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Njardvik and Fjolnir. Njardvik lost third consecutive game. IR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik KFI.
