There was a small surprise in Szeged where twelfth ranked Kaposvari (6-10) defeated 10th ranked Szedeak (6-11) 94-86. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Szedeak won third quarter 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kaposvari made 29-of-38 charity shots (76.3 percent) during the game, while Szedeak only scored eleven points from the stripe. 31 personal fouls committed by Szedeak helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Daniel Werner (203-87, college: Florida) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. International swingman Gabor Soos (200-85) contributed with 29 points for the winners. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. American center Bryson McKenzie (211-83, college: N.Illinois) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Janou Rubin (193-82, college: UCLA) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Szedeak. Kaposvari moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Falco-Szova. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Kaposvari's next round opponent will be Falco-Szova (#10) in Szombathely. Szedeak will play on the road against Kecskemeti.
