Rather predictable result in Helsinki where seventh ranked Torpan Pojat (14-15) smashed 11th ranked LrNMKY (7-22) 106-81. It looked good early as LrNMKY took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Torpan Pojat took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 25 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to LrNMKY's 30. International guard Mikko Koivisto (194-87, college: NC-Greensboro) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Hanno Mottola (209-76, college: Utah) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Viljami Vanjoki (194-86) added 19 points in the effort for LrNMKY. Five Torpan Pojat and four LrNMKY players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Torpan Pojat maintains seventh place with 14-15 record. LrNMKY at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 22 games lost. Torpan Pojat's next round opponent will be higher ranked UU-Korihait (#4) in Uusikaupunki and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LrNMKY will play at home against the league's leader Tampereen Pyrinto (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
