The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNBP took place in Puebla. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Angeles (23-12) to first ranked Pioneros (27-9) 72-71 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Angeles. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 16-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Gregory Grays (185-79, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Interperformances) fired 26 points for the winners. The other American import center Rammel Allen (210-79, college: Bridgeport) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Curtis Withers (203-84, college: Charlotte) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan guard Gregory Vargas (182-86) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. Pioneros maintains first position with 27-9 record, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Angeles at the other side keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
