Regular Season Round 12: Cocodrilos - Sionista 73-68

Cocodrilos finished their Liga Americas campaign with a loud bang. They knocked down Sionista eliminating the Argentinean team from the tournament. Both teams finished Group D action at 1-2 record and failed to reach the next stage. Carl Elliott came up with 20 points to lead the Venezuelan team. The teams looked well-matched in the first half. The first period ended in an 18:18 draw. Cocodrilos pulled ahead late in the second term to post a 39:37 lead. Sionista did not allow their opponents to run away as they trailed by a single point heading into the fourth term. But Cocodrilos used a 10:0 run in the fourth term to clear off. Sionista failed to respond and had to surrender at the end. Jack Michael Martinez tallied 15 points and 15 boards for Cocodrilos. Keving Palacios finished with 9 points in the win. Cleotis Brown produced 24 points for Sionista. Pedro Franco added 13 points in the loss.
