A very close game took place in Jonava between Erelita-KTU and Triobet Malsta. Fourteenth ranked Erelita-KTU (7-18) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Triobet Malsta (10-15). Erelita-KTU managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 on Friday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-9. But Triobet Malsta won second period 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Erelita-KTU forced 22 Triobet Malsta turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Matas Lisajevicius (190-91) helped adding 17 points. Four Erelita-KTU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (202-90) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Erelita-KTU moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Akademija and ABRO-Univ. Loser Triobet Malsta dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Silute. Erelita-KTU will meet at home higher ranked Mazeikiai (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Triobet Malsta will play against the league's leader Pieno Zvaigzdes (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
