The game in Starogard was quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Trefl Sopot (8-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Polpharma (8-6). Polpharma managed to secure a 6-point victory 87-81 on Saturday. Trefl Sopot trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 30-23 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 81-87 at the end of the game. Polpharma made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. American guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Tomasz Cielebak (203-76, college: Marist, agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Polpharma players scored in double figures. The former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 22 points and the former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) scored 13 points. Polpharma has a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Trefl Sopot. Polpharma will meet league's leader Energa Czarni in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Trefl Sopot will play against Zastal in Zielona Gora and hope to secure a win.
