Very expected game when 10th ranked Lokomotiva Plzen (1-15) was crushed at home by third ranked BK Decin (13-4) 74-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Decin. Lokomotiva Plzen managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lokomotiva Plzen to just 4 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Lokomotiva Plzen 39-28 including 25 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was international forward Pavel Houska (201-84) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami (OH), agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 8 points. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Decin will meet Basketbol Brno (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Lokomotiva Plzen will play against USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
