Bottom-ranked Amarillida (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 56-36 loss to seventh ranked Apollon (7-5) in Amarillida. The game was mostly controlled by Apollon. Amarillida managed to win fourth quarter 17-2. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Amarillida to just 1 points in third quarter. Apollon held Amarillida to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Apollon forced 25 Amarillida turnovers. Apollon's next round opponent will be Panathinaikos (#6) in Athens. Amarillida will play on the road against Proteas (#10) in Voula and hopes to get finally their first victory.
