Norrkoping Dolphins needed 77:75 narrow win over BK Ventspils to tie both records at 1-1 in Group K of EuroChallenge. The Swedish side grabbed the valuable win in the Last 16 stage to remain alive for the next round. The guests looked a bit more accurate in the first minutes and grabbed 23:22 lead after the first 10 minutes. Kuzminskas made it 24:22 and Andrew Mitchell tied the game in the start of the second frame. Andrew Mitchell also closed the period at 46:41 as the hosts won the quarter 24-18. Arturs Berzins and Janis Strelnieks shocked the hosts from the perimeter for 49:46 as BK Ventspils opened the third period with 8-0 run. Janis Strelnieks also was the last to score in the frame but Norrkoping Dolphins enjoyed 61:56 after three quarters. The home side tried to continue to maintain their advantage throughout the remainder of the game but the Baltic side were too late to give up. At first Ingus Bankevics gave them 66:65 lead and then he brought 75:73 on the board. Andrew Mitchell and Fred Drains however delivered the win for the home side. Andrew Mitchell paced all the winners with 21 points and Fred Drains added 14. Joakim Kjellbom scored 11, while Anton Saks and Povilas Sakinis added 8 apiece. Janis Strelnieks ended up with 14 points in the losing effort, while Anderson, Ingus Bankevics, Lauris Blaus and Arturs Berzins scored 10 each.
