An interesting game took place in Kaunas where higher ranked LKKA-Atletas (17-10) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Erelita-KTU (8-19) 81-71. The game was mostly controlled by Erelita-KTU. LKKA-Atletas was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Matas Sapiega (180-90) nailed 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) accounted for 20 points. Four Erelita-KTU players scored in double figures. Erelita-KTU's coach Vitoldas Masalskis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) came up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for LKKA-Atletas in the defeat. Erelita-KTU moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Delikatesas. LKKA-Atletas at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Zalgiris-Sabonio. Erelita-KTU will play against bottom-ranked Puntukas (#15) in Anyksciai in the next round. LKKA-Atletas will play on the road against the league's leader Pieno Zvaigzdes (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
