Regular Season Round 16: Namika II - FoKoPo 59-69

1st Division top team - Forssan Koripojat (13-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Lahden NMKY (0-16) in Lahti 69-59. It looked good early as Lahden NMKY took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Forssan Koripojat had a 22-14 second period charge getting the lead and Lahden NMKY was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-69. Forssan Koripojat players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Canadian center Jeremy McCulloch (212-82, college: E.Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and naturalized American swingman Andre Foreman (198-69, college: Salisbury St.) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Carlton Brown (198-79, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and guard Alexi Alanen (194-91) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Forssan Koripojat have a solid three-game winning streak. Forssan Koripojat maintains first position with 13-3 record. Lahden NMKY at the other side still closes the standingsForssan Koripojat will play against Ura Basket (#11) in Kaarina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lahden NMKY will play on the road against Tapiolan Honka and hopes to get finally their first victory.
