Regular Season Round 11: Unics - Krasnie Krilya 72-62

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Krasnie Krilya (3-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Unics Kazan (8-3) 72-62. Unics Kazan forced 19 Krasnie Krilya turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Terrell Lyday (190-79, college: BYU) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Belarusian forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Gerald Green (203-86, college: High School, agency: Lanshire Group) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (196-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for Krasnie Krilya in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics Kazan moved-up to second place, which they share with Lokomotiv. Krasnie Krilya at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Unics Kazan's next round opponent will be league's leader CSKA Moscow at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Krasnie Krilya will play against Khimky (#4) in Khimki.
