A1 top team - Olympiakos (15-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat twelfth ranked AEK (4-11) in Athens 79-74. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But AEK won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Olympiakos won last quarter 19-16. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. AEK was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for international center Ioannis Bourousis (212-83, agency: FCM) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian power forward Zoran Erceg (210-85) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was power forward Kostas Charissis (211-79, college: USC, agency: Impact Basketball) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American-Bosnian guard Terell Castle (182-72, college: Nicholls St., agency: Court Side) scored 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.
