Regular Season Round 30: Pieno Zvaigzdes - LKKA-Atletas 86-60

Leader Pieno Zvaigzdes delivered the twentieth seventh victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked LKKA-Atletas (17-11) 86-60 in Pasvalys. The game was mostly controlled by Pieno Zvaigzdes. LKKA-Atletas was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American guard Darrick Leonard (188-84, college: Aurora) who led his team to a victory with 23 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Power forward Arnas Kazlauskas (204-76, agency: Court Side) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Four Pieno Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. Pieno Zvaigzdes' coach Rimantas Endrijaitis felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) added 11 points in the effort for LKKA-Atletas. Pieno Zvaigzdes (27-1) have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position. LKKA-Atletas at the other side keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Zalgiris-Sabonio. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play against Perlas-MRU (#8) in Vilnius in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LKKA-Atletas will play on the road against Mazeikiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
