Another interesting game for Panathinaikos (8-5) which played in Ptolemaida against Apollon (7-6). Sixth ranked Panathinaikos crushed hosts 81-53. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Apollon. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Apollon to just 7 points in second quarter. Panathinaikos forced 20 Apollon turnovers. Apollon's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Panathinaikos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Panionios and Aris. Apollon at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Panathinaikos will play against bottom-ranked Amarillida (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Apollon will play against Aris (#4) in Thessaloniki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
