Rather expected game in Varna where 10th ranked Sportist Svoge (3-9) was defeated by eighth ranked Cherno More U18 (6-6) 97-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cherno More U18. Sportist Svoge managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cherno More U18 had a 33-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Sportist Svoge's players. Forward Nikolay Stoyanov (195-94) fired 32 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Denislav Vutev (206-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Four Cherno More U18 players scored in double figures. Forward Martin Vutov (195-92) produced 32 points and 9 rebounds and guard Daniel Klechkov (178-90) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Cherno More U18 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with NSA and Balkan 2. Loser Sportist Svoge keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Cherno More U18 will meet league's leader Dunav 2007 in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sportist Svoge will play against Rilski 2 (#4) in Samokov and hope to secure a win.
