Very important is a home loss of second ranked Energa Czarni (10-5) against fifth ranked Polpharma (9-6) on Sunday night. Host Energa Czarni was defeated by Polpharma in Slupsk 82-66. The game was mostly controlled by Polpharma. Energa Czarni was better in fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Energa Czarni 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Energa Czarni was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polpharma have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Energa Czarni lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with five games lost. Polpharma will play against Anwil (#7) in Wloclawek in the next round. Energa Czarni will play on the road against Zastal (#6) in Zielona Gora and hopes to get back on the winning track.
