Regular Season Round 16: HBA-Marsky - BC Nokia 77-79

The most exciting game of round 16 in the 1st Division took place in Helsinki. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Torpan Pojat (6-10) to sixth ranked BC Nokia (9-7) 79-77 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Pekka Setala (183-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Tomi Kankaanpaa (183-89) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Guard Pyry Rainamaa (194-90) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and center Mikael Sandberg (209-91) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Torpan Pojat. Torpan Pojat's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Nokia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Honka. Newly promoted Torpan Pojat dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Kerava ET and Ura Basket. BC Nokia is looking forward to face Aanekosken Huima (#7) in Aanekoski in the next round. Torpan Pojat will play on the road against Saynatsalon Riento in Jyvaskyla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
