Regular Season Round 21: Start Gdynia - AZS Radex 69-90

An interesting game took place in Gdynia, where higher ranked Asecco Prokom 2 (13-7) was outleveled at home by tenth ranked AZS Szczecin (8-13) 90-69 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Szczecin. Asecco Prokom 2 was better in third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Szczecin made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82, agency: Promotex) who scored 28 points. The former international forward Stanislaw Prus (199-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. AZS Szczecin's coach Zbigniew Majcherek felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Tomasz Andrzejewski (204-79) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jedrzej Jankowiak (183-83, agency: Promotex) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively. Newly promoted AZS Szczecin maintains tenth place with 8-13 record. Loser Asecco Prokom 2 keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. AZS Szczecin will face Gornik (#14) in Walbrzych in the next round. Asecco Prokom 2 will play at home against SKK Siedlce (#11).
