Regular Season Round 16: Haukar - Fjolnir 91-75

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Fjolnir (5-11) lost to fifth ranked Haukar (8-8) in Hafnarfjordur 75-91. It looked good early as Fjolnir took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Haukar had a 31-17 second period charge getting the lead and Fjolnir was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-91. Haukar players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Semaj Inge (193-87, college: Temple) fired 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dutch-American forward Gerald Robinson (204-84, college: Tennessee-Martin, agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Brandon Springer (196, college: Cumberland) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Ingvaldur Hafsteinsson (200-81) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Fjolnir's coach Tomas Holton rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Haukar maintains fifth position with 8-8 record, which they share with Stjarnan. Fjolnir at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Haukar's next round opponent will be IR (#8) in Reykjavik. Fjolnir will play on the road against Keflavik.
