Second Stage Round 1: Halc.Rojos - Flamengo 81-77

Halcones Rojos posted the first win at the second stage of Liga Americas. They knocked down Flamengo in Group E action in Veracruz. Jaime Lloreda came up with 23 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Mexican team. Flamengo ensured the better start. Marcelinho Machado foresaw the Brazilian powerhouse earned a 19:16 lead after ten minutes. But Paul Stoll was the main factor for the hosts in the second stanza. He nailed 8 points and the Mexican side grabbed a 34:30 halftime lead. Halcones Rojos used an 11:2 run in the third term to boost the margin. They entered the fourth quarter up by 11 points and rallied to the victory in the final term. Paul Stoll nailed 21 points for the winners. Brandon Robinson added 11 points for Halcones. Marcelinho Machado answered with 27 points for Flamengo. Baby Araujo had 15 points in the loss.
