Everything went according to plan in Paris where fourth ranked Etendard de Brest (13-8) beat bottom-ranked CFBB (3-18) 90-72 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-72. Etendard de Brest made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Rafael Lopez (204-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) chipped in 24 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was power forward Jean-Charles Livio (202-93) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Hugo Invernizzi (196-93) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Etendard de Brest. They maintain fourth place with 13-8 record. CFBB lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Etendard de Brest will face Saint Chamond (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
