Regular Season Round 21: Bordeaux - Challans 76-66

NM1 top team - Bordeaux (18-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Vendee Challans (10-11) 76-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vendee Challans. The game was mostly controlled by Bordeaux. Vendee Challans was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bordeaux forced 19 Vendee Challans turnovers. American center John Ford (207-78, college: Colorado St.) nailed 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and guard Gauthier Darrigand (184-82) accounted for 10 points and 7 assists. Four Bordeaux players scored in double figures. Forward Benjamin Boutry (198-80) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Fabien Herard (198-79) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Vendee Challans in the defeat. Vendee Challans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bordeaux have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-3 record. Vendee Challans at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Souffel. Bordeaux will play against Angers BC 49 (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vendee Challans will play against Saint-Quentin (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
