Regular Season Round 18: TTU - Rudupis 78-97

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Lithuanian Rudupis (11-7) crushed 11th ranked Estonian TTU/Kalev (4-15) in Tallinn 97-78 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rudupis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game. TTU/Kalev was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Justinas Sinica (203-85) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Vytenis Lipkevicius (198-89) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Five Rudupis players scored in double figures. American-DR Congolese forward Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) added 9 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in the effort for TTU/Kalev. TTU/Kalev's coach Ullar Kerde rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Rudupis maintains fifth position in Elite with 11-7 record. Loser TTU/Kalev keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Rudupis will face Perlas (#8) in Vilnius in the next round. TTU/Kalev will play at home against Norrkoping Dolphins in Norrkoping and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
