The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Shiga Lakestars (19-11) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked Shimane Magic (12-18) 104-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shiga Lakestars. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Shiga Lakestars managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shimane Magic had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Shimane Magic especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. American-Mexican guard Forrest Fisher (193-84, agency: GOTathletes) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Guard Masashi Joho (183-82) answered with 24 points and American forward Lamar Rice (203-82, college: Georgetown, KY) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shiga Lakestars. Shimane Magic moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Saitama Bron. Shiga Lakestars at the other side still keep top position with 11 games lost. They share it with Osaka Evessa. Shimane Magic is looking forward to face Kyoto Hannaryz (#5) at home in the next round. Shiga Lakestars will play against Miyazaki Shining Suns (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
