The most exciting game of round 19 in the ProA took place in Karlsruhe. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed BV Chemnitz 99 (13-6) to eighth ranked BG Karlsruhe (10-9) 76-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of BV Chemnitz 99. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BV Chemnitz 99 won fourth quarter 30-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Afghani guard Achmadschah Zazai (177-86) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for BV Chemnitz 99. BG Karlsruhe maintains eighth place with 10-9 record. BV Chemnitz 99 at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. BG Karlsruhe are looking forward to face league's second-placed s Oliver Baskets in Wuerzburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BV Chemnitz 99 will play at home against the league's leader Bayern Muenchen having rather not much hope for a victory.
