There was an upset in Lugo where higher ranked Lleida Basquet (11-11) was rolled over by twelfth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (9-13) 90-63 on Friday. The game without a history. Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) scored 29 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Portuguese-Cape Verdean forward Joao Gomes (199-85) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 21 points and American center Dwayne Curtis (203-85, college: Mississippi, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan maintains twelfth position with 9-13 record, which they share with Clinicas Rincon. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face higher ranked Ford Burgos (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
