The game between Top Four teams took place in Dongguan. 3rd placed host Guandong Tigers (15-7) lost to first ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (20-1) 86-70. The game without a history. Xinjiang Flying Tige led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Guandong Tigers' 38. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 19 Guandong Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. International swingman ShiPeng Wang (197-83) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Jianghua Chen (188-89) scored 15 points. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Xinjiang Flying Tige have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-1 record. Guandong Tigers at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Jiangsu Dragons (#4) in Nanjing in the next round. Guandong Tigers will play on the road against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
