Halcones Xalapa thrashed Regatas Corrientes on the final day of action in Liga Americas Group F. The victory allowed the Mexican team clinch the top position in the standings. Regatas Corrientes finished at 2-1 record and also reached the Final Four stage of the tournament. Mike Smith came up with 22 points to lead Halcones Xalapa in this one. The teams stayed tied after ten minutes of action 16:16. But then Leandro Garcia Morales and Mike Smith took the floor as they piloted the visitors to a comfortable 45:28 lead at halftime. Halcones dominated the third period. They registered a 72:45 advantage with one quarter to go. Regatas failed to recover in the remaining minutes and surrendered at the end. Louis Roe delivered 20 points and 9 boards for Xalapa. Victor Mariscal added 14 points in the winning effort. Javier Martinez answered with 15 points for Regatas. Eduardo Villares had 13 points in the loss.
