The game between Top Four teams took place in Urumqi. First ranked host Xinjiang Flying Tige (21-1) defeated 4th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (12-10) 113-103. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Jiangsu Dragons was better in fourth quarter 32-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Jiangsu Dragons were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 49 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) supported him with 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by French power forward Jerome Moiso (208-78, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu Dragons. The former international guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) added 22 points and 4 assists. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Xinjiang Flying Tige have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-1 record. Jiangsu Dragons lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Beijing. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Bayi Fubang (#4) in Ningbo in the next round. Jiangsu Dragons will play at home against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and hope to get back on the winning track.
