The game with biggest result difference took place in Qingdao. Local Qingdao Double Star (9-14) was outscored by third ranked Guandong Tigers (17-7) 132-100. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Qingdao Double Star was better in third quarter 38-35. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Qingdao Double Star's 68. They outrebounded Qingdao Double Star 62-36 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Qingdao Double Star was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tennessee-Martin) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Marcus Haislip (207-80, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Five Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) answered with a double-double by scoring 52 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 21-of-26 shooting from the field) and guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Qingdao Double Star. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guandong Tigers maintains third place with 17-7 record having four points less than leader Xinjiang. Qingdao Double Star at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Shanxi Zh.. Guandong Tigers will play against Fujian SBS XunXin (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Qingdao Double Star will play on the road against Jiangsu Dragons (#6) in Nanjing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
