Regular Season Round 23: Bordeaux - Orchy 86-63

NM1 top team - Bordeaux (20-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Orchesien BC (11-12) 86-63. The game without a history. Bordeaux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Orchesien BC's 34. They outrebounded Orchesien BC 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for naturalized Tunisian guard Sami Driss (196-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American center John Ford (207-78, college: Colorado St.) helped adding 27 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81, agency: Court Side) responded with 16 points and naturalized Mali guard Modibo Niakate (185-81, college: Cleveland St.) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bordeaux have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record. Newly promoted Orchesien BC dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Denek and Souffel. Bordeaux will play against Denek (#12) in Bidart in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play at home against Saint-Quentin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
