Everything went according to plan in Bydgoszcz where seventh ranked Artego (11-11) beat 11th ranked Utex Row (4-17) 85-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Artego. Utex Row managed to win fourth quarter 27-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Artego dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Utex Row's 28. They outrebounded Utex Row 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Artego looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Utex Row's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Lori Crisman (186-82, college: W.Michigan) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Stephanie Raymond (170-85, college: N.Illinois) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Four Artego players scored in double figures. Artego's coach Adam Zieminski used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Rebecca Harris (176-86, college: Illinois) produced 22 points and power forward Alendra Brown (191-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Artego maintains seventh place with 11-11 record. Loser Utex Row keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Artego will meet Super-Pol (#8) in the next round. Utex Row will play against Lotos Gdynia and hope to secure a win.
