There was no surprise when 12th ranked Assigeco BPL (8-13) was defeated on the road by third ranked Snaidero Udine (15-6) 81-67. The game was mostly controlled by Snaidero Udine. Assigeco BPL was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Snaidero Udine made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Assigeco BPL turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Clint Cotis Harrison (194-76, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Finnish-American forward Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Assigeco BPL. Assigeco BPL's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Snaidero Udine moved-up to second place, which they share with Fastweb CM. Assigeco BPL at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Tezenis Verona. Snaidero Udine will play against Trenkwalder RE (#14) in Reggio Emilia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Assigeco BPL will play at home against MarcoPoloShop.it in Forli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
