Regular Season Round 15: Batumi - GSAU Tbilisi 78-73

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Batumi (5-9) beat at home 9th ranked GSAU (4-11) 78-73. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GSAU won fourth quarter 36-32. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Batumi forced 23 GSAU turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by GSAU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Duda Sanadze (196-92) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Russian center Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Kakhaber Mumladze (201-92) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Revaz Chachanidze (183-90) added 13 points respectively. GSAU's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Batumi maintains seventh place with 5-9 record. GSAU at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost.
