Date: February 25, 2011
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Batumi (5-9) beat at home 9th ranked GSAU (4-11) 78-73. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GSAU won fourth quarter 36-32. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Duda Sanadze (196-92) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Russian center Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. GSAU's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Batumi maintains seventh place with 5-9 record. GSAU at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Batumi's next round opponent will be GTU (#9) in Tbilisi. GSAU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Army Sport Klub.
