There was no surprise when 12th ranked Alanya BLD (2-18) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Samsun (8-12) 89-59. The game was mostly controlled by Samsun. Alanya BLD was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Samsun shot 27 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Alanya BLD only scored ten points from the stripe. They outrebounded Alanya BLD 55-25 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Samsun players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Alanya BLD's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Alanya BLD helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Rwandan-American center Tatum Brown (193-78, college: Arizona) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and American center Jessica Adair (193-86, college: George Washington) supported her with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even a double-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks by Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) did not help to save the game for Alanya BLD. Rabia Celebi (-85) added 6 points and 8 assists for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samsun moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mersin. Alanya BLD lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games.
