Regular Season Round 22: Crailsheim - Braves 78-76

The most exciting game of round 22 in the ProA took place in Crailsheim. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (12-9) to fifth ranked Crailsheim Merlins (14-8) 78-76 on Saturday evening. Saar-Pfalz Braves were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 23-14 charge of Crailsheim Merlins, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ryan Anderson (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists. Power forward Sean Brooks (196-82, college: Drexel, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Crailsheim Merlins' coach Ingo Enskat used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Stephen Cramer (188-84, college: Hope (MI)) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Rob Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Saar-Pfalz Braves. Crailsheim Merlins have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Saar-Pfalz Braves at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Crailsheim Merlins are looking forward to face BG Karlsruhe (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Saar-Pfalz Braves will play against Science City Jena and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
