TB2L top team - Genc Banvit (16-3) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Pertevniyal (9-10) in Istanbul 71-64. Genc Banvit had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pertevniyal was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Ufuk Gurgen (205-77) helped adding 9 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. At the losing side forward Ali Isik (205-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Yigit Can scored 16 points. Pertevniyal's coach Omer Dogu Kanig let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Genc Banvit have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 16-3 record. Loser Pertevniyal keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Genc Banvit will face Izmir B.B. (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pertevniyal will play against Genc Telekom (#3) in Ankara.
