Regular Season Round 21: Soproni - Falco-Szova 78-81 OT

Falco-Szova (11-10) survived in overtime against Soproni (11-10) by three points 81-78 on Saturday night. The game took place in Sopron. But the guests from Szombathely were better at the end. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Soproni. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Belarusian center Mikalai Aliakseyeu (212-78, college: Buffalo) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) added 10 points and 18 rebounds respectively. Four Soproni players scored in double figures. Falco-Szova have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Soproni. Falco-Szova is looking forward to face higher ranked ZTE KK (#6) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soproni will play on the road against the league's leader Szolnok where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
