D League
Regular Season Round 84: Tulsa 66ers - Texas L. 94-86
Date: February 26, 2011
Already shorthanded with only nine players in uniform, Tulsa could ill afford to give away many second opportunities to visiting Texas on Saturday night. But paced by a stingy defense that allowed Texas just 36 percent shooting from the field, the 66ers overcame a lengthy second-quarter scoring drought and 22 second-chance points by the Legends to claim a 94-86 victory in NBA D-League action at the Tulsa Convention Center. Former ORU player Larry Owens paced five double-digit scorers for Tulsa (26-10) with 20 points, including 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Marcus Lewis returned to action with 18 points, and Jerome Dyson added 16 points for the Western Conference-leading 66ers. In addition, Elijah Millsap chipped in 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Latavious Williams contributed 11 points. *Courtesy of www.tulsaworld.com
