Regular Season Round 24: Brest - GET Vosges 99-68

Very expected game when 16th ranked Get Vosges (8-16) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Etendard de Brest (15-9) 99-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Etendard de Brest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Etendard de Brest outrebounded Get Vosges 40-28 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 9 rebounds and guard Gary Staelens (189-84) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Etendard de Brest's coach Freddy Masse felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Central African forward Martial Gotagni (190-79) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman A'Nsi Lema (197-84) scored 15 points. Five Etendard de Brest and four Get Vosges players scored in double figures. Etendard de Brest moved-up to third place, which they share with Angers BC 49. Loser Get Vosges keeps the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Etendard de Brest will face league's second-placed Denain Voltaire on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Get Vosges will play against CFBB (#18) in Paris and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
