There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Vasas-Csata (4-18) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Cegledi EKK (3-19) 76-58. The game was mostly controlled by Cegledi EKK. Vasas-Csata was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by Serbian center Danijela Varda (195-74) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and Polish forward Marta Dobrowolska (181-89) supported her with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by forward Lilla Adamecz (181-92) did not help to save the game for Vasas-Csata. Forward Viktoria Bajnoczi (182-90) added 6 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cegledi EKK maintains twelfth position with 3-19 record. Vasas-Csata lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with BSE. Cegledi EKK will play against higher ranked Atomeromu (#9) in Szekszard in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vasas-Csata will play on the road against Bajai NKK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
