Fifth-ranked Horsens IC (13-13) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Svendborg (23-2) on Sunday. The visitors from Svendborg managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 30-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86, agency: Rasmussen Services) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. The former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC, agency: Rasmussen Services) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Svendborg have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-2 record, which they share with Bakken. Horsens IC at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Svendborg is looking forward to face Naestved (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Horsens IC will play against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
