Regular Season Round 85: Santa Cruz W. - Ft.Wayne MA 111-117

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants showed an impressive knack for the quick turnaround at the Bismarck Civic Center. After losing a tight game to the Dakota Wizards on Saturday night, the Ants rebounded for a 117-111 win over the Wizards on Sunday afternoon. It was the third win in four games for Fort Wayne. The Ants (17-20) were led by forward Darnell Lazare’s 26 points and Walker Russell Jr.’s 24. Four other players scored in double figures: Chris Kramer had 17, Wayne Chism 13, Rod Wilmont 12 and Corey Allmond 10. Chism led the team with 11 rebounds, and Russell dished out eight assists. Fort Wayne will play Reno in back-to-back games Thursday and Friday at Memorial Coliseum. Kramer, the former Huntington North and Purdue University standout, continued his hot shooting streak. In the last four games, he has hit 19 of 25 (.760) shots from the field, and 25 of 26 (.961) free throws and scored 67 points (16.7 ppg).
