BJ League top team - Hamamatsu Phoenix (31-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (12-24) in Mikawa 104-64. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Miyazaki Shining Suns' 46. Hamamatsu Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Miyazaki Shining Suns' players. It was a very good performance for American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kazutoshi Ohta (191-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. American forward Elijah Palmer (201-81, college: Duquesne, agency: Court Side) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Brandon Cole (203-84, college: Xavier, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Miyazaki Shining Suns. Hamamatsu Phoenix have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 31-4 record. Loser Miyazaki Shining Suns keep the eighth position with 24 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face Akita Happinets (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Miyazaki Shining Suns will play against Kyoto Hannaryz.
