Regular Season Round 21: Asker Aliens - Kristiansand 73-60

BLNO top team - Asker (17-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Kristiansand (4-16) 73-60. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-60. The former international forward Ronny Karlsen (202-78, college: Independence CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-83) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Asker's coach Inge Kristiansen used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Antonio Russell (183-84, college: W.Carolina) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Croatian guard Kreshnik Krasniqi (190-89) added 14 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Kristiansand in the defeat. Asker have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-3 record. Kristiansand lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. They share it with Ammerud. Asker will meet Ammerud (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kristiansand will play against Baerum in Bekkestua and hope to secure a win.
