An interesting game took place in Liepaja where higher ranked Lithuanian Nevezis (12-9) were upseton the court of tenth ranked Latvian Liepaja (7-14) 75-62. The game was mostly controlled by Liepaja. Nevezis was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Nevezis 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jurijs Aleksejevs (203-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Pierce Caldwell (191-88, college: Incarnate World) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Egidijus Dimsa (205-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia, agency: FCM) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Nevezis. Liepaja maintains tenth position with 7-14 record. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. Liepaja's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rudupis (#4) in Prienai and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
